Day – 3 completed!
Queretero on a Sunday night is lovely but the tequila is scarce. That said, we somehow managed to find a few celebratory shots. What are we celebrating? Another 1st in Class and top 15 finish. 13th place to be specific. We slid back a few spots from 11th but we had a very fun day that began with us going 80mph on a six lane boulevard in a deserted Mexico City at 7am on a Sunday. It was awesome! The we had five speed stages that were dominated by 0′s and 1′s. Zero being a very, very slight turn and One being a slight turn. These are supposed to be taken flat out but my cajones we’re up to the task and I’ll admit to lifting at 90mph over blind crests – this makes Mark laugh (he’s braver than I am). Better safe than dead is my “while in Mexico” motto.
Tomorrow we have a late start so hopefully I’ll sleep in a little. Till then, thanks for reading these ramblings.
